Students from across Long Island participated in a “Save the Earth” poster, ad and essay contest to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Earth Day, April 22, 2005. The project was a joint undertaking by the Society and the
KeySpan Foundation
which provided scholarships to the winners.
Winning entries were showcased at the
Vanderbilt Museum & Planetarium
in Centerport from June through September 2005, and now can be viewed below.
