Guided Hike: Marsh March (LI Greenbelt)

This hike is hosted by the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference.

See the summer wane both in the woods and out in the wetlands, with our usual diet of forest tunnel walking nicely leavened by some miles on the scenic flanks of Flanders Bay; could be buggy out in the Hubbard Marsh, so dope up—and bring plenty of water! Meet at Spinney Road (north end) parking area; from L.I.E. Exit 71, at foot of exit, turn right onto C.R.24; stay on 24 straight through the traffic circle in Riverhead, head for Hampton Bays; Spinney Road will be on the right, about eight miles from the Expressway; fast pace, only one quick stop for snacks; inclement weather cancels, so call or text to be sure!
