Come to the Crown Jewel of the Pine Barrens – Quogue Wildlife Refuge – for a guided kayak paddle around Old Ice Pond. Observe the various species of freshwater fish, turtles, and birds which live in and around this 100+ year old pond that was originally created for ice harvesting for the Quogue Ice Company. A scavenger hunt/ID chart will be available.

$20 per kayaker. Pre-registration is required – please book here.

This program is appropriate for ages 5 and up.

Children AGES 5 – 11: Children between the ages of 5 – 11 must be in craft with an adult. Please book a double kayak.

Children AGES 12 – 16: Children may be in their own craft IF they are 12 and older and must be accompanied by a supervising adult in a nearby boat. All Children under the age of 16 must be with an accompanying adult in a nearby boat. You may choose whether to book a double or single kayak.

All participants must wear masks for the duration of the program.

Each participant must have their temperature taken with a touch-less thermometer  upon arrival and answer health screening questions. 

Once booked, there will be no refunds.

Inclement weather reschedules this event. If the new date does not work for you, only then will you be refunded.
