Guided Hike: Wertheim Wanderings (LI Greenbelt)

Let’s explore the spring wonders of a natural L.I. habitat which includes marine bay, tidal river, freshwater streams, ponds, salt marsh and much more; an easy-paced hike exploring two trails along the Carmans River; You can drop out after the first trail (3 miles). Heavy rain cancels. Take William Floyd Parkway (Exit 68 off L.I.E. or Exit 58 off NY 27) south to Montauk Highway, west about 1 mile to Smith Road (light), then left onto Smith Road to park headquarters and entrance on right.
