This hike is hosted by the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference.

About 4 miles | Moderate | Some steep scrambles

Come explore Wildwood State Park with spectacular views from bluffs as high as 150 feet over the Long Island Sound; walk the oak beech woods where Witch Hazel should be in bloom; see large erratics embedded in high bluffs where Bank Swallows nest in summer; walk the beach to a tidal marsh where Baiting Hollow Creek empties into the Sound; there’s lots to see in this great piece of property often overlooked by hikers; as usual, bring your own beverage of choice for optional lunch at the end of the hike; rain cancels; bring a mask to be used in close encounters; meet in the main parking lot.

Pre-registration required. Call Lee at 516-659-7130 or email at leland.mcallister@gmail.com for information or to register.
